Homes for the Holidays
Homes for the Holidays
The Hopkinsville History Foundation in collaboration with the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County invites you to celebrate the holiday season with this exclusive tour of five historic homes in our two residential historic districts. Join us on Saturday, December 7 from 2pm-5pm as we are graciously welcomed inside these dwellings for guided tours that share information about the architecture, interior décor, and the families who have called these houses home.
Homeowners have decked their halls and are excited to show off their historic properties. The event includes guided interior tours of the following residences*:
125 Alumni Avenue
144 Alumni Avenue
2000 South Main Street
2003 South Main Street
2112 South Main Street
*Every home on the tour requires climbing a few stairs to enter. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Trade in this ticket for a tour map and sticker on Saturday, December 7th. Maps can be picked up at the Pennyroyal Area Museum from 10am-2pm or at a well-marked spot in the alley on 20th Street from 2pm-4:30pm.
You are free to tour homes in any order that you please during the 3-hour tour. Doors will open promptly at 2pm and will close at 5pm.
A docent will greet you on the front porch of each home. You may be asked to wait a bit to allow for groups to flow through the houses, but we promise to move you along as quickly as we can.
All tours will be guided, and you will be asked to stay with your group while inside each house.
